You turned around with an angry look, but couldn't find the culprit, all students looked above her head, carefully looking at Professor Stem, who was absorbed by her own speech. It was full of praises and reverence to the “perfect” and “extremely useful” creatures, that they will get to use in the end of the lesson. One of such creatures just flew across the room and hit Jane. Going through her hair, Jane managed to get it out, barely holding back the scream of disgust Jane managed to throw it away. Všichni studenti upírali pohled nad její hlavou, upřeně sledujíc profesorku Stemovou, která byla zcela ponořená do své přednášky. Sliz proletěl jen o vlásek vedle a zasáhl Jane do zátylku. Otočila ses s rozzuřeným výrazem, ale viníka jsi nedokázala najít. Všichni studenti upírali pohled nad její hlavou, upřeně sledujíc profesorku Stemovou, která byla zcela ponořená do své přednášky. Plná chvály a obdivu mluvila o „dokonalých“ a „nesmírně užitečných“ tvorech, které budou na konci hodiny využívat. Jeden z těchto tvorů právě proletěl místností a trefil Jane.

Jane si ho s odporem vyndala z vlasů, přičemž jen stěží zadržovala výkřik znechucení, a rychle ho odhodila pryč. Rozhlédla se ještě jednou, ale opět se jí nepodařilo zjistit, kdo za tím byl. Jakmile se otočila zpátky, Sam se sotva držel, aby nepropukl v smích. Zhluboka se dvakrát nadechl a pokusil se znovu upoutat pozornost Richarda, který seděl o něco dál od něj. Další hod slizu byl úspěšnější a zasáhl Richieho do ramene. Sam si s úlevou oddechl, že tentokrát minul Jane, zatímco sliz pomalu klouzal dolů po Richardově hábitu.
